A day in my life
mood: -_-
*after coming home from an outing with T*
Me: Hi mom and dad! I'm home!
Parents: Hi dear, how was your day?
Me: *explains what I did* ... Oh yeah, and I signed up for the JLPT exam at the end of this year!
Parents: What!? When's that!? You better make sure not to study too much for your Japanese and neglect your law studies!
Me: Of course I know that! Do you honestly have so little faith in me that you think I'll jeopardise my law exams just for my Japanese!?
Parents: ...
Parents: ...
Parents: ...
Me: ... Obviously you do. That's nice to know.

Blood pressure rising
mood: Pissed off
I know I always complain about how my parents always make me do all sorts of rubbish things all the time, but this really takes the cake. Can my mother not even fill in a simple blank in a warranty card when the information has already been provided for her by someone else!?
Fine, so she says the serial number on the moniter was too small for her to see, so she had to get her colleague to read the serial number for her. But after her colleague had given her the information? Could she just not do it immediately and then send out the card? Is there something amazingly magical about my hand that it is the only hand capable of copying over a measly row of letters and numbers from one piece of paper to another!?
I'm not annoyed with the fact that we'll now be sending the warranty card in way too late, since I myself am quite terrible with sending out warranty cards even though most of the time the deadline is within a week of the purchase. So I don't blame people for forgetting to do it.
What I'm angry about is the fact that what she's asking me to do is something so stupidly simple that even a three year old child can do it in all of 10 seconds. And she had to wait for me to come back from my holiday to do it since she couldn't even take that 10 seconds of her own time to do it herself.
Sometimes I really feel that the "slave" moniker they like to tease me with really means what it means. [Karma: 1 (+/-)][link] [2 Comments]
