mood: Undescribable - perhaps sad, perhaps reluctant, perhaps...
Suddenly hit VERY HARD by the feeling that I'm not ready to go back to the UK.
I know that I'm actually really looking forward to going back for my final year, but... as I talk to my friends about the last things we're going to do, as I remember the stuff I've done the past months with my family and friends, as I look at the electronic ticket that reminds me that my flight is this Saturday early in the morning... I suddenly don't want to leave. So many things that still want to be done, to be said, to be experienced, to be enjoyed... things that can only be done in Singapore, the place I was born, the place I've lived and loved all these years, the place I always want to continue living in and loving...
I don't know why I'm acting like this. I'm not going away permanently. It's only going to be one year. No, not even that - it'll probably be only 10 months or so. But there's just that longing that doesn't go away, that doesn't want to be torn away from the place it's attached to by the invisible velcro strap that gives when it has to but not without any resistance or without any verbal protest.
Is it possible to have homesickness even before you've left home?

And yeah, actually I think I really am worried about what will happen when I graduate from Notts - it'll be so difficult for me to meet up with you and Charlene and all my other Notts friends... I think I'll be incredibly sad on graduation day. :(

Is it possible that you are projecting, realising that this will be the last time you come to the uk to live as a student, and the tie has sped by so fast, and you are worried that you'll loose touch/never see people again?
