05/24/2007: "Kotani Kinya Love <3<3<3"
mood: Fangirly
Am suddenly on a Kotani Kinya kick. I've always liked his songs after watching Gravitation, but I stumbled across this blog post which posted up some of his mtvs, and OMG, some of his earlier ones are SO BAD. XD I think it's probably because he was going for the hyper insane kind of image, so all his music vids are really whacked out, and he's got the most AWFUL clothes in his live videos. (I find Japanese popstars/boybands tend to have really horrible dress sense. XD) But apparently he's recently change his image and is trying to go for the SNAG look - talk about different! Anyway, though I'd share some of his TERRIBLE MUSIC VIDEOS here. XD
I have only one thing to say: YELLOW TASSELS. XD
Blaze - for those of you who don't know, this is the OP to the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle anime series. This is the video where you can see him in his new SNAG-gy image. :p
My fav vid. Check out the audience dancing along. :p And the backup dancers crack me up, especially the guy in the red shirt with his weird expressions. :p This is the sort of vid that makes you want to dance along - even though the dancing is of the sort that I'd call the "if you're happy and you know it then prance around on the spot!" variety. But it looks SO FUN. :p
He's really nuts in this one. XD
Another extremely weird music video
Dear god, his OUTFIT. My eyes, they BURN! :p MORE YELLOW TASSEL ACTION! And I think all the live vids are from the same concert since he has varying degrees of yellow tassels in all of them. :p
And something not Kotani Kinya related, but rather Gravitation related:
The song "Shining Collection". It still amazes me how fast he sings. And I like that it has romaji subtitles, because up till I saw this vid, instead of hearing the phrase "taiki wa somaru", I kept hearing the last bit as "so malu". (Singaporeans will know what that means. XD) Also check out the weird red musicians. :p (Apparently one of them wrote the music for Kotani Kinya's songs in Gravitation)
In any case, I think I'm turning into a Kotani Kinya fangirl. Watching the live and the hyper audience makes me want to see him in concert too. Now I know how Tiff feels with her Kat-tun mania. XD I want to buy his albums! Must save up. *wallet sighs*
