+ happy belated vday~

stupid blogger killed my post. sigh.

anyway, i just typed out some quotes from two books i've been reading/ have read..

how long can you wait?
i can wait until my heart bleeds with sorrow.

when we use the 'we' pronoun we place two people behind a joint action almost as if they form a composite being. many languages have a special pronoun to use about two - and only two - people. this pronoun is called dual, or something that is shared by two. it hink it's a useful concept, because there are times when subjects are neither single nor many. you are 'we two', and a 'we two' as if that 'we' cannot be split. as far as i was concerned this new pronoun came as quite a shock. 'we' - as if something had come full circle. it was as if the whole world had coalasced into a higher unity.

the orange girl by jostein gaarder

i wonder if i will ever be the orange girl to someone. is there is jan olav out there that exists for me?

and of cos, my favourite quote from my favourite book:

"'have you any soul?' a woman asks the next afternoon. that depends, i feel like saying; some days yes, some days no. a few days ago i was right out; now i've got loads, too much. more than i can handle. i wish i could spread it a bit more evenly, i want to tell her, get a better balance, but you can't seem to get it sorted. i can see she wouldn't be interested in my internal stock control problems though, so i simply point to where i keep the soul i have, right by the exit, just next to the blues."
