+ happy start to a happy new year

hmmmm had a jc class gathering just now.. =) suprisingly, i had alot of fun! jc was really painful for me, cos my classmates were VERY clique-ish (and it didn't help that i transferred in after the 1st 3 mths.. and a 3hr orientation only -_-) and i couldn't fit in.. probabaly found me too nerdy too antisocial and too opinionated =) i only survived cos of yj and cheryl.. but it was a v fun time too la, cos we were so close.. and we always crashed yj's house! all the act-cute/jap photos and neoprints, going out after school (and after the GP paper -_-), "studying" in the library/study rooms =pp

anyway, class gathering. i really felt abit.. reluctant to go, cos it's a potluck.. that means more awkwardness if no one talks to me.. anyway, got lost while trying to get to bukit batok mrt, but managed to find my way after all.. and bumped into some classmates at the bus stop so i was saved! food was good (yes, even the avocado blend dessert =pp) and they liked my potato salad! it was the only thing that was finished =pp played abit of bridge, and apples to apples (the most crap-generating game ever =pp) that was alot of fun, cos everyone was involved, and seriously, hearing those guys generate all those crap (like why communism is powerful or why jodie foster is playful =pp) in their serious tone was so amusing.. took loads of photos, and caught up with everyone.. and they talked to me! hehe cheap thrill i know.. might go clubbing with gillian tmr too =D

anyway, i always had a theory that.. there are some pple who only give a damn abt me if i like dress up (ie. contacts makeup and all) sometimes it's so obvious it's quite amusing.. though i really wonder, is looking nerdy really a crime?

ok can't wait for the rest of the week =D i hope this good start to the new year continues for the rest of 2007

Some reasons why looking nerdy is good:

1) You get to know who really cares about you as a person and not for your looks.
2) You can't be bothered what people think about you since you know you look like a nerd anyway.
3) You get to see everyone's OMGWTFBBQ expressions when they see you in your non-nerdy clothes. (Which can be a very good ego-booster, not to mention extremely amusing)
4) You can develop a thicker skin.
5) Nerds will rule the world. Starting from the sweets, since everyone who eats one will be swayed over to Nerd-ism and it will eventually develop into a cult and from there explode into a full-blown religion that will totally dominate the entire earth.

Seriously though, sometimes it's nice to not have to care about making yourself look pretty all the time. Very "qing song". I mean, I knew how nerdy I looked in school but I didn't really care since the friends who mattered didn't bother about my appearance. And I'd rather look nerdy in school than get into trouble with the teachers.

Ok, I don't know why I posted this. Since I know you don't actually care about those shallow people who only pay attention to you when you look good. I suppose it's just to spread the Nerd love around. I now command you to go forth and do some Nerdisation of your own! XD
