just as i was gonna say how great the ntu admin officers are, i encountered someone really........ -_-

but the person i spoke to from the office of academic services was totally rude. -_- cos i lost my wallet, and i was referred to them by the student affairs office.. she didn't listen to me, but talked to other people around her while i was talking (without even informing me to hold on or whatever), then asked me things i already told her while she wasn't listening. she just went on and on about irrelevant things.. like how they knock off at 5.15pm when the call was made at 4.20pm, and the only thing i said to her was "may i ask for ur help in..." before i was cut off by her (and what i wanted her to help me do was to check the time of the first paper in the exam hall on mon, cos i have to get my wallet and my matric card before my paper on mon also.. it's not like i was gonna ask her to get my wallet and deliver it to my house or anything -_-). and the worst thing!!! she KEPT pressing some STUPID button on the keypad while talking to me.. as if i could hear her very well to begin with..

just cos they're dealing with students doesn't mean anything.

this reminds me of the police report incident the last time i lost my wallet -_-

with such low standards of service quality, it's no wonder that singapore needs foreigners to work here.

Yeah, it's really sad how bad the service is in Singapore. Especially if you're not rich or obviously still a student, then they treat you even worse. >_<

But you know what? After coming to the UK, I've realised that the service here isn't all it's cracked up to be either. Sure, they may be friendlier in general, but they do have their share of rude people you want to throttle (There was this guy from the UK branc of Singapore Airlines that I wanted to murder because he was being so !"£$%^&@* arrogant and condescending), and if anything, they're nowhere NEAR as efficent as Singapore is.

I suppose we could always go on occassional trips to Japan to appreciate the service there. :D (When am I ever going to get to go!? *wails*)
